Common questions
Am I an employee or a contractor?
An employee. Asina pays you through PAYG payroll with super on top and tax withheld — you never need an ABN or to send an invoice.
What classification level will I be on?
Most support workers start at SCHADS Level 2.1. Your exact level is set during onboarding based on your qualifications and experience — higher-skill work attracts a higher classification and rate.
When do penalty rates apply?
Evenings, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, in line with the SCHADS Award. The rate cards above show where weekend and public holiday pay starts.
Do I need my own car?
Yes — a current driver's licence and a reliable vehicle are part of the role, since community access and transport are a big part of the work.
