The good parts of support work, without the rest
If you've done support work before, you know the difference between a good employer and a roster machine. Here's what we do differently.
Real relationships
Small, steady participant teams — the same people, week after week, so the work actually means something.
No admin grind
You're an employee. No ABN, no invoicing, no BAS, no chasing payments — just a clear payslip.
Local, always
Shifts across Armidale and the New England — not an hour's drive to a suburb you've never heard of.
Leadership that's done the job
The person setting the standards spent 10+ years on the frontline. Your supervisor gets it.
Training that's real
Induction, shadow shifts and ongoing development through Asina Academy — before you're ever on your own.
Work that matters
You'll see the difference you make — in someone's confidence, their kitchen, their week.
Pay that reflects the work you do
Casual rates under the SCHADS Award, Level 2.1+ — casual loading built in, 12% super on top, and penalty rates for evenings, weekends and public holidays.
Weekdays from
$43.23
per hour + 12% super
Saturdays from
$60.52
per hour + 12% super
Public holidays
$95.11
per hour + 12% super

Support work shouldn't feel like going it alone
Independent support work can be isolating — no backup, no debrief, nobody to call. At Asina you're part of a team.
A leader who answers
Tough shift? Something unexpected? You call, we pick up. Every time.
A real team
Debriefs, handovers and workmates who know your participants too.
Backed properly
Employed, covered by Workers Compensation, and never asked to wing it.
Common questions before you join
Do I need experience?
Experience helps, but attitude comes first. If you genuinely care and you're willing to learn, the Academy covers the rest.
Is this casual or permanent?
Our roles are casual under the SCHADS Award — casual loading is built into your hourly rate, and rosters are consistent rather than random.
Where are the shifts?
Armidale first, plus the wider New England — Tamworth, Uralla, Guyra, Walcha, Glen Innes and Inverell.
How do I apply?
Hit any Apply button on this page — it takes a few minutes. Our fully online onboarding is on the way, which will make the rest of the journey digital too.
